A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to invalid addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from mates or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a shared website hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a few features, but it’s really simple to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only one single click. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be shown in this section alphabetically and you’ll just have to click the "Catch-all" button for the specific address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be set up with a few mouse clicks in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with our company. The hosting account will be managed through our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to create email addresses using any domain hosted here. To enable the catch-all functionality for a given mailbox, you will have to click the logo with the exact same name, which will be to the right of each mailbox. Deactivating this feature can be done in the exact same manner and will not take more than a click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been enabled for a given domain, you will get a warning. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never alter or deactivate any feature automatically.
